Update: For some reason FACT Magazine are not allowing any sort of sharing or embedding of Jamie xx's mix, however you can listen to it on their website which you can find here!!
While politicians and governments bicker and squabble about the state of their countries and economic experts preach the doom and gloom of our existence, thank god there are some people who can come together from different parts of the world and create something for us to smile about.
I've always thought that musicians would make much better politicians than, um....politicians. You only have to spend 20 minutes at Glastonbury Festival to realise that music makes the world right....
Anyway, our international agenda sees São Paulo meeting New York City in the form of CSS & Ratatat and Toronto giving London an alternative idea as The Weekndpaints his slightly weird, left-of-centre brush of R&B over Florence + The Machine's latest banger (This got it's first play in the world ever yesterday!).
So first off, I would like to welcome you to the most magnificent man, with the most epic stage name of recent years....TOTALLY ENORMOUS EXTINCT DINOSAURS (aka Orlando Higgingbottom...equally awesome name). A mass favourite who finally has announced an album for early 2012...first album of that new year I cannot wait for...!!!!! I only hope that when I next see Orlando in a huge venue he remembers Scooby Doo and his crew raving at the front like there was no tomorrow (thanks for that Camden Crawl 2011 TEED)
So after that wake up call, Bombay Bicycle Club will ease you into the day with 'How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep' while Bon Iver & James Blake combine their ridiculous talents together to make the most "let's SNOOZE for longer" track ever 'Fall Creek Boys Choir' (a song between these two was inevitable and equally stunning). But then just as you wanted to fall back asleep, CSS decided to remix an already upbeat Givers song into a let's-all-get-up-and-dance-our-socks-off jam....the only way Lovefoxx and the rest of her Brazilian crew know how to do....
